Vergänglichkeit begreife ich als einen fortlaufenden Prozess – als ein Zusammenspiel von Zeit, Veränderung und dem stillen Fortschreiten des Lebens. Sie hinterlässt Spuren, sichtbare wie unsichtbare, die sich in Erinnerungen, Materialien und Oberflächen einschreiben.
Die Serie V steht in enger Verwandtschaft zu Espoir und kann als Rückblende auf gelebte Spuren gelesen werden. Sie verweist auf das, was war, und auf das, was sich im Wandel erhalten hat.
Um dieses Gefühl auf die Leinwand zu übertragen, arbeite ich mit Mischtechnik und einer Vielzahl unterschiedlicher Materialien. Die Leinwände tragen meist eine abgewaschene Grundierung, deren raue und schroffe Textur als Träger von Zeit und Erinnerung fungiert. Durch das Schichten, Abtragen und Kombinieren der Materialien entsteht ein spannungsreiches abstraktes Experiment, das Vergänglichkeit nicht nur thematisiert, sondern physisch erfahrbar macht.
